You are finally at a career that's promising, with a future so bright that the mere thought of it gives you chills. Remember when you crushed the LO tests? Your folks are so happy that you're in finance; they can't stop using it to kick-start small talk with their buddies.

You frequently use words too heavy for the average man’s tongue. Words like 'amortization,' 'retaliate,' and 'bottom line'. They make people think you're so smart without even trying.

God, the word contractions! You'd rather die than say the complete words: ARM, DTI, refi, oh, I so 'PITI' your listeners.

It looks so good from the outside but not so much on the inside. Some days, you're kissing realtors' asses for hours, and on others, you're forced to throw in the hawk tuah. You barely have time for yourself or to be yourself, yet you've got an entire family to feed and love.

You’re lucky if you only miss the kid's first step or their first play at school. It happens all the time, right? Some days, you're clocking 12 hours at work, others 15, because after all, you're gonna get it all together soon, right?

Every day you wake up to go to work feels like walking barefoot on hot nails, and when you get there, it feels as if you’re fetching water with a sieve because nothing ever seems to change. There's so much happening in the market, and you always want to stay on top of things, yet there's only so much you can do.

Good news for you: it's about to get a little bit easier from here on out. Not all of it, but most of it. Well, that's a start. Buckle up!
